Past Events of NAPSIPAG201019 April NAPSIPAG organised a "Confidence Building Measure as a prelude to the launch of South Asian University at Thimphu" on the 19th of April, 2010, Jawaharlal Nehru Universit, India. The meeting was attended by eminent personalities like Senator (R) Iqbal Haider (former Attorney General and Federal Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentray Affair and Human Rights, Pakistan), Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid (Karachi), and senior representatives from people's democracy movement groups in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afganistan. Representatives from Bangladesh were also present in the bigger group of 150 South Asians. Human Rights Activist Jatin Desai from Mumbai, Matanhy Saldanha from Goa and Mohammed Mahuruf (Sri Lanka) were also present at the gathering. Prof. G. K. Chaddha chaired the meeting and carried the resolution to the South Asian University launch at the SAARC meeting 27-3 May at Thimphu (Bhutan). The event was widely reported in the national daily. February 10 Hon’ble Minister Shri M. Veerappa Moily, Minister of Law, Justice & Company Affairs, Government of India delivered a public lecture on “Role of the Youth in Nation Building Process”, at an event chaired by Prof. S. K. Thorat, Chairman University Grants Commission and Prof. B. B. June 2 Prof. Georgio Dominese, University of Rome, Prof. Alan Mayne, University of South Australia, Adelaide and Prof. George Matthew, Institute of Social Sciences, India were invited to speak to the researchers in an event jointly organized by the Governance Knowledge Centre (GKC) and NAPSIPAG. March 5 Hon'ble Nepal Minister Ms. Pompha Bhusal, Prof. Robin Jeffery along with the Australian Research Team and Prof. Darvesh Gopal- 2008 Australian Government Awardee, were invited for a panel discussion on "Implementation Challenges of Administrative Reforms Reports”, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. March 3 The International Congress of Women, Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University and NAPSIPAG jointly organized a panel discussion on ‘Reverberations of Hope: Building Capacities of Governments and Public Administrators for Social Change and Gender Justice” at Parliament Annexe, Parliament House, New Delhi, India. 2008December 5 Book Release by Ms. Rajni Razdan, Secretary DARPG, Government of India and Prof. B.
